Write a post, save a link, or upload some photos.

Open Pages CMS ↗

Sign in with GitHub and select cooper-ganglia / tyler-walker.com, on the main branch.

  1. Open Notebook and create an entry.
  2. Choose its type, add a title and date, then write or upload an image.
  3. Turn off Draft and save. GitHub Pages rebuilds the site automatically.

What am I actually editing?

You fill out a form. Pages CMS creates or updates the Markdown file for you, uploads images into the site’s media folder, and saves the change to GitHub. You don’t need to create a .md file yourself.

Posts

Choose Post. Add the title, date, description, and write in Content using the rich-text editor.

Bookmarks

Choose Bookmark. Paste the address into Link and add your own title and short description. The styled link bar is automatic: the title opens the destination, and “Notes & permalink” opens your entry. There is no HTML to format. Titles and descriptions are entered by you, not fetched from the other website.

Images and albums

Choose Image. Upload a Cover image, add an image description and optional caption. Under More images, add each additional image, its description, and caption in the order you want. Clicking the cover opens the full set in the viewer. Arrow buttons, keyboard arrows, and swiping move through it. Escape or Close exits.

You can also add a cover and more images to a post or project. Unlinked images inserted in the content editor open in the viewer on the entry page; their image title, when supplied, becomes the caption. The structured image fields are the easiest way to control captions.

Personal links

Set Where it lives → Personal page on any entry. It appears on Personal, away from the homepage, notebook, and feed. This is a separate public page, not a password-protected area.

Use Site settings to update the introduction and “right now” note. Drafts are excluded from the built website. Files in a public GitHub repository are still publicly readable.

First-time setup

The repository owner needs to connect Pages CMS to this repository, and set GitHub → Settings → Pages → Source to GitHub Actions. The included publishing workflow handles future updates.
